Epilog: IEEE Diploma Thesis Award

In June 2013, Johannes Oetsch received the IEEE Diploma Thesis Award for his outstanding work “Beyond Uniform Equivalence between Answer-Set Programs: Relativisation and Projection”. The award ceremony took place at the “Epilog” event (http://www.informatik.tuwien.ac.at/aktuelles/694), organized twice a year by TU Vienna’s Department of Informatics. Mr. Oetsch wrote his diploma thesis at the Institute for Information Systems at TU Vienna. Margrit Gelautz, vice chair of the IEEE Austria Section, praised the profound scientific approach and the high number of publications resulting from the diploma thesis. Currently, Johannes Oetsch is a PhD student with the Knowledge-Based Systems Group at Vienna University of Technology.
