In November 2012, Jasmin Grosinger received the IEEE Diploma Thesis Award for her extraordinary work “Agile Life: Persuasive Touch Interface Technology for Enhancing Older Adults’ Levels of Physical Activity” written at the Institute for Design & Assessment of Technology at TU Vienna. The prize was handed over by Margrit Gelautz, vice chair of the IEEE Austria Section, who emphasized that Grosinger’s thesis represented an excellent example of IEEE’s goal of “advancing innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity”. Jasmin Grosinger gave a convincing presentation of her outstanding diploma thesis at the “Epilog” event (http://www.informatik.tuwien.ac.at/aktuelles/607), organized twice a year by TU Vienna’s Department of Informatics. Currently, Jasmin Grosinger is a PhD student at the Centre for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems (AASS) at Örebro University, Sweden.
