Stefan Leitner received the Dipl.-Ing. and Dr.techn. degrees (with hons.) in electrical engineering from Graz University of Technology, Graz, Austria, in 2016 and 2020, respectively.
He is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Brushless Drives for Pump and Fan Applications at the Electric Drives and Machines Institute, Graz University of Technology. He spent an academic year at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA and he was a Visiting Scholar with Washington State University, Pullman, WA, USA.
His research interests include the design of sub-fractional horsepower electric motors, cogging torque reduction and measurement, NVH, and finite-element analysis. Stefan Leitner was a recipient of the Marshall Plan Scholarship in 2016 and he was the recipient of Oesterreichs Energie-Preis 2017 for his Master’s Thesis.
