Roya is a postdoc researcher at the Institute for Communications Engineering and RF-Systems at Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz, Austria.  She received her Master's and Ph.D. degrees (Hons) in telecommunication engineering in 2014 and 2022, respectively. Her current research interests include the design and analysis of novel communication systems through the utilization of machine learning algorithms for molecular communications and trustworthy Internet of Things networks. She has worked as a senior expert in the R&D section of telecom companies for two years and has served as a project manager in several industrial telecom projects for more than 6 years. She is an IEEE member and has served as a TPC Member for IEEE conferences as well as a reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals.
